Equine Personal Development Sessions

Joining the horses in a 1-1 session allows us to quieten our minds and experience life as the horses do – fully present. They give us instant, non-judgemental feedback of exactly how we are in that moment. Most importantly they allow us to try again, they give us a second chance right there and then.

Horses can help us to develop basic life skills, expand our awareness of ourselves and allow us to become fully conscious of our internal thoughts.

It is perfect for adults who would like some support to overcome:

  • Illness
  • Low self-esteem/Lack of confidence
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Change in Direction
  • Loss or Grief

It is perfect for children who are:

  • Struggling to attend school
  • Anxious
  • Find it difficult to cope in certain situations
  • Struggle to regulate their emotions
  • Are Neurodivergent

Maybe you feel stuck, not sure which direction to take in life please reach out and contact us at The Listening Herd, Maggie 08891 586289 or Helene 07718 808118 to chat about our sessions.

“I was recommended by a friend to have some sessions following my cancer diagnosis and treatment.  I was a mixture of exited and apprehensive of the unknown but went with my mind open.

As soon as I met Maggie, I was put at ease, she has a calming aura that you feel you can put your whole trust into her. During my sessions I met the horses and felt the stillness and inner peace, and I have to say at times it took my breath away how emotional I felt. During the sessions, I lost a very young relative and Maggie helped me with coping mechanisms, I felt realigned and not so emotionally charged.

The sessions were just the right length, so I didn’t feel too fatigued, I wish they lasted longer, I felt so relaxed after.  These memories will stay with me, and I am always grateful for the things I have learnt with the help of Maggie and her precious horses.”

My son attended The Listening Herd for just over 12 months and the difference in him was amazing.  When he started he struggled to interact with Maggie, Helene and the horses and only wanted to play games he made up and could control.

12 months on he has a great relationship with the horses and loves to brush and lead them around.  He interacts with everyone at The Listening Herd and has even attended the school holiday activities they arrange and interacted with the other children.

I cannot believe the difference in him.  It is an amazing place.
